For as long as he can remember, Sam has been fascinated by stories and the different ways they can be told. He has published a book about Shakespeare and has taught at various British and European universities.
He currently gives workshops on all aspects of writing and communicating in English at the LcL Institute for Languages and Communication, Vienna.
His forthcoming novella, Inside Virgil Caine, seeks to offer an exploded portrait of a man's life entirely through the eyes of those he knew. It was long-listed for the 2021 Alpine Fellowship, and is due to be published next year by Eukalypto.
Sam is also one of the co-authors of Roof Cats, a collaborative work published under the pen name Eukalypto.
